About the source
VietCam is NOT a government app and is not affiliated with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport or any authority. Images are for reference before travel only. The camera catalogue was fetched from the public portal on 27/10/2026; the app states its source and fetch date in Settings.
Permissions and why
- Internet, network state: load live camera images directly from the portal
- Precise location: only when you tap “Cameras near me”, used on-device to compute distances, never sent anywhere, no continuous tracking
